Cardinal Community Academy

*Good morning!  I hope you had a restful break and a Christmas full of family and memorable moments.  My husband and I enjoyed our time with our kids & grandkids, I spent a lot of time cooking and baking, and I especially enjoyed sleeping in!  But, I am ready to get back at it and look forward to starting the second half of our school year strong.  I can’t wait to see all those sweet faces tomorrow morning!  

*I received a gift from a student/family containing a Cattle Grounds gift card, a teacher ornament, Bath & Body Works soap, and a small bottle of sanitizer.  I couldn't find the name of the giver.  If it was your family, please let me know so I can properly thank you.  :)

*read aloud & discuss The Most Magnificent Thing which beautifully illustrates this month’s key

 

CKLA Skills Strand:  This week we will…

*read and write words in which ‘s’ says /s/ as in cats or /z/ as in dogs

*demonstrate knowledge of letter-sound correspondences and orally blend sounds to form single-syllable words
