English: I am so excited to be heading to Outdoor Education with the 6th grade class! After we return, we will continue reading 90 Miles to Havana. We are so close to the end of the school year, and I appreciate your support in encouraging your student to stay focused and finish the year strong.
Writing & Research: Writing and research classes will be finishing their morphology unit next week. Students will end the unit with a fun project that allows them to apply their knowledge by creating a comic book.
As a reminder, all students are completing weekly reading journal entries. Students should have a current book that they are reading regularly.
By May 8, students should have at least one book completed. Once a book is finished, they will choose and complete one project from the choice board that has been provided to them. Please help remind your student to continue reading consistently at home. Thank you for your support! Please note that the due date for the 8th grade project will be Tuesday, May 12th. |
