We are thankful for you sharing your children with us! Truly, even with the middle school antics and the constant 6-7s, they make us laugh daily and we are grateful for our CCA student community.

Science fair is well underway! Seeing the students grow in independence through this project is cool to see. I have found it to be one of the best methods of teaching the scientific process. See below for important info.

• Local fair is on December 17th. Students will present their projects to a panel of judges. This is a learning target grade.
• 7th and 8th grade students should have their data collected by December 10th. Please see individual parent square message for more details.
• 6th grade students should bring testing supplies to CCA after Thanksgiving break. Please see group parent square message for more details.
• Please make sure your child brings back any signature forms they took home.

It is not a secret that writing an essay is a lot of work. All middle school students have been working on science fair essays over the last two months. They struggle being patient, as so much of the world today operates quickly. The good news is that Mrs. Bates is seeing wonderful growth in their writing taking it slow, paragraph by paragraph. Please encourage your child that taking this time has been worthwhile, even if it seems challenging.

All 3 body paragraphs are DUE on December 2nd, the day we get back from break! Final essays are due on December 12th. Please ask your child what they have left to complete with their body paragraphs!

Over break, students should take time to ensure the following are completed:

• Science fair essay- body paragraphs
• Having a plan for completing science fair experiment by Dec. 10th (7th & 8th grade)
• Missing assignments!
• Absent Work
