Stronger Together, Cardinals Forever
Good morning, Cardinals! Let’s make this week fly!
3-8
Last week, we began our soccer skill development unit, and students put forth impressive effort in practicing passing, dribbling, and aiming their kicks toward a target. Their focus and progress were excellent to see. We also incorporated team-building activities to strengthen communication and cooperation. Several upper-grade classes requested a return to the classic parachute games- a request I was happy to honor. The activities brought out plenty of smiles while still reinforcing teamwork in a structured and engaging way.
Looking ahead:
Next up, we have another shortened month, so we will be taking on the Presidential Fitness Test and working to complete all of the activities within a single day. It will be a challenge, but I am confident our students will rise to the occasion.
K-2
Our young Cardinals enjoyed multiple parachute games, including Making Waves, Popcorn, and the Ball Roll Race. They were excited to run and get under the parachute, and we worked on creating a strong “mushroom” together. The students showed great energy and enthusiasm throughout the activities.
Looking forward:
This week, our young Cardinals will enjoy PAC-MAN Tag and the Meatball Run Relay! In PAC-MAN Tag, one student chases the others on the gym lines while tagged players become “roadblocks,” and a medic can rescue them. In the Meatball Run Relay, students balance a ball on a tennis racket in a fast-paced race- no hands allowed! Both games promise plenty of fun, teamwork, and energy.
