Letter From Administration

Dear Families,
What an incredible week it has been at our beloved school! We continue to be inspired each day by our students’ energy, our teachers’ dedication, and your unwavering support. This week, our campus buzzed with excitement as we celebrated the power of choice, opportunity, and community connection.

We were thrilled to join the nation in celebrating National School Choice Week (NSCW). This important initiative is dedicated to informing, inspiring, and empowering parents like you about K–12 education options. NSCW reminds us of the importance of opportunity—every child deserves a school that helps them thrive. As a proud school of choice, we are grateful for the privilege of serving a community that values quality education and strong family partnerships.

Reflecting on our charter renewal last year, I am reminded of the passion and dedication that led to our school’s founding. Our journey is a testament to the vision of our community and to your commitment to your children’s education.

Our school’s reputation for academic excellence and character development continues to shine brightly. These achievements are only possible because of our outstanding teachers, who pour their hearts into every classroom. Their expertise and care inspire students to reach new heights, both academically and personally. Thank you for supporting our mission and celebrating their efforts alongside us.

We are delighted to announce that Mrs. Lisa Rupple is a finalist for the Colorado League of Charter Schools Hall of Fame Awards in the Most Valuable Charter Contributor category! This recognition celebrates her unwavering commitment, leadership, and the positive impact she brings to our school community each day. Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Rupple and wishing her the very best as we await the final results.

This week, we held both our School Accountability Committee and Board of Directors meetings. We appreciate the thoughtful discussions and engaged participation from our community. Information from those meetings is listed below.

To stay up to date and engaged, we encourage you to continue reading through this week’s newsletter.

Again, it’s been an incredible week. We hope you have a restful and rejuvenating weekend. See you on Tuesday!
Sincerely,
Team CCA

Movin' and Groovin'

CCA is excited to announce the transition of our own Mrs. Karsyn Herman into the Music Teacher position. She is excited to tackle Elementary Music classes in grades K-4 and to support Mrs. Johnson with grades 5-8 Band, Rhythm, and Choir. Mrs. Herman has some fun ideas in the works for your children and is looking forward to planning her first music program later this spring to showcase the students' talents. Please help us welcome Mrs. Herman into her new role, and be on the lookout for more communication from her about the upcoming excitement in Music at CCA.

Happy New Face

CCA has a new face in the midst of our Teacher Aide Team. Please help us welcome Ms. Makayla Hager to the CCA Educational Team! Ms. Hager joins the team supporting grades 1-8 in various degrees. She will also support CCA's After School Care program. We are excited to have her enthusiasm and passion for helping students grow. She has already been an added blessing to our team, and we look forward to helping her grow and "leave her mark" in educational excellence.

From the Board

Happy Friday CCA!

We reviewed a lot of information at our board meeting on Wednesday. Officer elections results are as follows: President- Casey Cantwell, Vice President- Steven Bell, Treasurer- Kaylee Helzer, Secretary- Brittany Petrilena. We also received a great presentation from the 8th grade class. They will be traveling to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida later this year and presented the various places that they would like to visit while they are on their class trip. It is always a great presentation, and this year's class did a great job. We also looked at mid-year survey data and mid-year NWEA data and received updates from our various committees. Our next meeting will be March 4th.

Thank you,

CCA BoD

From the SAC

January Meeting

Families,

Our School Accountability Committee meeting was held on Wednesday. This month’s agenda included a review of our Middle‑of‑the‑Year NWEA MAP and DIBELS data. We are pleased to share the following school‑level NWEA MAP performance results:

  • Reading: Growth at the 54th percentile and achievement at the 61st percentile
  • Math: Growth at the 55th percentile and achievement at the 62nd percentile
  • Language Usage: Growth at the 65th percentile and achievement at the 71st percentile

Our DIBELS data also reflects an upward trend in the right direction.

We also reviewed our Middle‑of‑the‑Year survey results. Although there were a limited number of responses, we noted a decrease in concerns. Finally, our team began reviewing our Strategic Plan and plans to continue this work during the next several meetings.

Meeting minutes will be available once they are approved at our next meeting.

Thanks, and have a great weekend!

From the PTO

Pto image
Hello Families!

There is so much happening with the PTO, and we’re excited to share a few updates with you!

First, we are currently working on the SignUpGenius for Parent-Teacher Conference dinners. Please be on the lookout for that information next week.

Second, most classes have selected their class basket themes inspired by Dr. Seuss! Be sure to watch for sign-ups coming home soon.

Finally, we’d like to encourage all parents to complete the PTO Survey Please know that you may leave your name and email blank if you so choose—the survey is completely anonymous. Your feedback is incredibly important to us as we work to best serve our school community.

This is a very busy time of year! Don’t forget to visit our Facebook page to stay up to date on all the latest details.

Have a great weekend, CCA!
