Happy Friday, CCA Families!
We hope you are enjoying the beautiful March weather as much as we are here at school! The longer days and sunshine bring a renewed energy, and it’s a perfect time to celebrate our recent accomplishments and look ahead together.
This week was a bit longer for our dedicated staff, as Monday was a professional development day. Part of the day’s training included our annual Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) Training. This important preparation ensures that we are ready to support our students as CMAS testing approaches. CMAS gives us a valuable opportunity to reflect on our teaching and learning, and we appreciate your support during this time. We’ll be sharing more details soon, and you’ll find this year’s testing schedule below. Please do your best to avoid scheduling appointments for your grade 3-8 student(s) during testing times.
On Wednesday, we were proud to host our annual National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) Induction Ceremony. Please join us in welcoming our seven new members! With their addition, NJHS now represents 29% of our middle school students—a wonderful achievement that highlights our students’ commitment to academic excellence!
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Nighswonger for her years of dedication to NJHS. This year marks her last as the group’s advisor, and we are truly grateful for her commitment. Looking ahead, we are pleased to welcome Ms. Finlayson as our newest NJHS sponsor for the 2026-27 school year. We are excited for her to continue this tradition of excellence.
As we head into the weekend, we hope you enjoy the beautiful weather with your family. Thank you for being such an important part of our school community. We look forward to seeing you next week!
