Letter From Administration

Dear Families,

Did someone say, “Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!”? While the weather has certainly shifted, our students continue to do an exceptional job and are not deterred by the elements. Thank you for ensuring they arrive prepared for changing conditions.

This week, students continued participating in CMAS testing. Fifth grade has only one session left for next week, while make-up sessions are scheduled for those who were absent. Students have worked so hard and we are so proud of them all. Thank you for the support and flexibility during these weeks. The remainder of our end of year assessments in NWEA and DIBELS will begin April 28.

A highlight of the week was Harper serving as Principal for a day; she represented our school with professionalism and enthusiasm. In recent weeks, Jeremy also served as the SRO for a day and did an outstanding job.

Looking ahead, our monthly SAC and BOD meetings will take place next week. In addition, sixth-grade Outdoor Education and upcoming eighth-grade field trips are right around the corner. As we move into the final stretch of the year, it is hard to believe we have 20 school days remaining.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. May you have a blessed weekend.

Officer For a Day!

Jeremy had the opportunity to be officer for a day. He shadowed Officer Cory and got to see the ins and outs of being a School Resource Officer. The best part of his day was being able to sit in the cop car.

Principal For A Day!

Harper had the opportunity to be principal for a day. She shadowed Mr. Archuleta as he completed his daily duties. The best part of her day was being able to complete everything on the checklist, including the monthly fire drill.

From the Board

Happy Friday CCA!

We will host our April meeting next Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. We will review policies, perform our first reading of our new cell phone policy, renew staff contracts, approve the salary schedule for the 2026-27 school year, and hear from our various committees on all of the projects happening around the school. We hope to see you there.

As many of you saw, the district has put out communications regarding the Master Facility Plannning committee and the decisions that came out of that process. CCA is looking to be part of a potential Bond measure this fall in an attempt to get a new classroom addition built to replace our modulars that we have operated out of since the inception of the school. Our New Building Committee has been working behind the scenes to get all of our information gathered to present to the district board on May 20th. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.

Have a great weekend!
