Happy Friday, CCA Families!

Two weeks down and we are off and running! It was wonderful to see so many families at Back to School Night on Wednesday. PTO and our Board of Directors served up a delicious barbecue, and families were able to connect with each other and enjoy some community time. We ended the week celebrating National Hawaiian Shirt Day. CCA showed up in style with Hawaiian shirts. Leis were provided to all those who chose to partake in the celebration, and we served Hawaiian Punch at lunch to top it all off. What a fun day!

QUICK REMINDERS:
  • Driveline: Please pull forward toward the north end of the building as far as you can and allow your student(s) to walk down the sidewalk for entry. Our phenomenal CCA Team will be sure your child arrives safely at the car or the door of the building. Please do not exit your vehicle with your student if you are in Driveline. Feel free to park your vehicle in the designated areas if you would like to exit the the vehicle with your child. All pedestrians should use the main crosswalk when crossing guards allow during driveline. Students should never run across the parking lot to parents/guardians without the permission of the crossing guards or staff. Do not park in unmarked spaces, and be cautious when pulling out of line or into turn lanes to exit the parking lot. Please obey all traffic rules and the advisory of our safety staff in order to keep everyone safe.
  • Handbook Signatures: As noted below, please take time to read and discuss the Student & Parent Handbook, as well as the ChromeBook/Technology and insurance agreements. Once you and your student understand the expectations, please sign and return the forms.

Cardinal Celebrations

Volunteer at CCA

If you like the cold and playing in the snow, have we got a volunteer opportunity for you. CCA is looking for assistance with clearing snow from the sidewalks and basketball court this winter before students start walking on them. Maybe we're being a bit optimistic, but better to prepare than to scramble as an afterthought. We even have the tools you will need: snowblower, shovels, and ice melt. All we need is the muscle to put behind it all. If this sounds like something you would just love to help with, please contact Mrs. Cole in the office.

**For the safety of students, staff, and visitors, please check in with our friendly office crew when you arrive at CCA so that we are able to account for all in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

PTO and CCA BoD - Thank you for the delicious dinner on Wednesday during Back to School Night! It was a great time getting to know the CCA community.
8th Grade Class - Thank you for the all school call back and school wide norms. You will be great leaders and role models for our students.
Instructional Aide Team: Thank you for all of your assistance and support at Back to School Night. You go above and beyond everyday, and we appreciate you!
CCA Families: Thank you for attending our Back to School Night and for being involved in your child's education. We are honored to be a part of your team!

Cardinal Housekeeping:

  • Lunch Orders: Please go to Easysuites (Foodease) to order your students' lunches (all of first semester is available). New parents will need to check their email for an Easysuites invite to register
  • Chromebook Insurance: Families have until September 18th to participate in Chromebook Insurance. Please click here to apply and pay.
  • CCA Student/Parent Handbook: Reading, understanding, and signing is REQUIRED by ALL families. Please click here to access the handbook and signature page.
  • After School Care: If you will be utilizing After School Care, please click here to read the handbook, register, pay, and sign the movie permission slip. Please note: After your student's first visit, you will be charged for yearly registration and each visit thereafter. If you are volunteering for PTO or SAC (or other school committees), your students may attend ASC at no charge during any scheduled meetings.
  • Watch Dogs We Need You!! Please join us for the WATCH DOGS Kickoff (see image below).
