It's Friday again!

Hopefully, you all saw our special edition on Thursday with all of the new faces at CCA and the new places that some of our familiar faces have moved to. We are definitely "Building Something Great" this year with this team!

Please take note of the important dates listed above. There have been a couple of changes, including our September Board of Directors meeting, and we don't want you to miss anything!

Teachers and students had a great time surprising Officer Cory on his birthday Thursday. There were many miniature Officer Cories, and "Cops and Robbers" seemed to be the theme at recess all day. Happy Birthday to the greatest SRO around!

CCA has been invited to participate in the State of the District event happening on September 30 from 4:00 - 6:30 p.m. There will be food trucks and activities, as well as a presentation from the district highlighting students, staff, and great things happening in all the schools across the district. CCA will have a table with school spirit gear and highlights of things happening at CCA. I hope to see everyone there! Watch for more information from the district, as well as your CCA ParentSquare.

FYI:

Please remember if you are coming into the building during morning dropoff, we ask that you take your child to the classroom and wish them a great day. If you are planning to stay longer or if you arrive after the tardy bell (7:25), we do ask that you check in at the office for a visitor's badge. Also, remember that teachers are supervising students during this time and are not prepared to have conversations or answer questions about your child's education. If you need to speak with your child's teacher, please send a message requesting an appointment. Teachers should respond within 24-48 hours. Thank you for understanding.
Handbook Signatures: As noted below, please take time to read and discuss the Student & Parent Handbook, as well as the Chromebook/Technology and insurance agreements. Once you and your student understand the expectations, please sign and return the forms.

**For the safety of students, staff, and visitors, please check in with our friendly office crew when you arrive at CCA so that we are able to account for all in the event of unforeseen circumstances.**

Fall Festival planning is underway with PTO. If you missed the first planning meeting, not to worry! Just contact one of our fabulous PTO officers to find out more. ccapto@re3j.com

Many teachers have sent out opportunities for volunteering. We can't wait to see all of our amazing families visiting us to support our students and staff. Our new PE teacher is in need of helpers to begin Presidential Fitness Testing next week. If you are available on Tuesday or Thursday, please find a spot on her sign up in ParentSquare.

If teachers do not have a sign up posted for volunteer opportunities, don't hesitate to send them a message in ParentSquare to let them know you're available. Thank you for the continued support in education at CCA. We appreciate you!!

Mrs. Workman - Thank you for keeping our playground balls aired up. The students are having a wonderful time!

Mini Officer Cory participants - Thank you for making Officer Cory feel so special on his birthday! Our special secret mission was a huge success, and it was a joy to see so many Officer Cory lookalikes on Thursday.

CCA Teachers: Thank you for your flexibility and dedication to completing Beginning of the Year assessments in order to meet students where they are in their learning needs. Your passion for helping students succeed and grow is unmatched.

CCA Instructional Assistants: Thank you for your heart and passion in helping every student succeed. Our jobs would all be tougher without your continued support.

Cardinal Housekeeping:

Chromebook Insurance: Families have until September 18th to participate in Chromebook Insurance. Please click here to apply and pay. Just a reminder payment must be sent through Purchasease AND the contract signed in order to have insurance. We have received multiple contracts but not payment from families, if you signed the contract and have not paid you will not be covered for insurance. If you log into your Purchasease account it will be under Purchasing> New Purchase> Select the student's name and click the plus sign by technology (Chromebook insurance)> Checkout and pay. Please reach out to crystalbydalek@re3j.com if you have questions.
CCA Student/Parent Handbook: Reading, understanding, and signing is REQUIRED by ALL families. Please click here to access the handbook and signature page. We only have a handful that have signed the Handbook. Please make sure this is done it is a requirement!
