Teaching has been a part of my life at CCA since August of 2008. Born, raised, and educated in the midwest, I grew up with a love for the outdoors and all of the life forms that go with it. This prompted a passion for science and our connection to it in our daily lives. I believe that science is applicable everywhere and drives our understanding of our daily environment. I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Science Education in 2007. To balance my science brain, I also spent time in the music and theatre departments, and intramural volleyball. This background has allowed me to run CCA's drama club and assist with music teaching in the middle school as it has been needed. Other areas of the school you see me in include middle school STEM and 8th grade trip coordinator. I have two children, both whom attend CCA. Prior to children I enjoyed coaching 7th/8th grade volleybal for WCMS. The small environmet at CCA has been a blessing to work in and has given me many opporunities beyond science teaching. In my 'non teaching time,' I love traveling with my family, taking care of my wide range of pets, playing in the Brigthon orchestra, delving into crime and drama shows, and slowing down to read a good book. ~ Mrs. Johnson
