Happy Friday, CCA Families!
It was wonderful to see all of the students and families returning from break this week. I hope you were able to get some rest or a quick vacation with your families.
Thank you to those who were able to join in the celebration at the We are 3 in Action event on Wednesday evening; it was wonderful to see you. A great time was had by all. Each school in the district awarded a student for exemplifying the district's graduate profile. Congratulations to CCA's winner: Drake S.! We are so proud of this young man. He beautifully represented CCA and what we stand for. Thank you, Drake!
There were also four community partnership awards given in recognition of those community members/businesses assisting the school district in various ways. We must mention that each of these recipients has also supported/assisted CCA, and two of the recipients are CCA parents. CCA is so very fortunate to be a part of this community. Thank you for the continued support over the last 26 years! CCA Strong!
FYI:
-
NO TOYS/FIDGETS: Per CCA Handbook: "Students should not bring personal items, such as balls, cards, toys, electronic games, radios, I-pods, etc. to school except for the purpose of class displays, show and tell, and other educational purposes as directed by the teacher." -
-
Tardy Bell 7:25 a.m.: Please be sure students are here before 7:25 a.m. Once the Tardy Bell rings, parents MUST come inside to sign students in. When students arrive after the Tardy Bell they miss important instructional and learning time. Tardies will be more strictly enforced moving forward. Thank you for understanding.

Parent/Teacher Conferences: Be sure to sign up for an available time on the forms shared by classroom teachers. In order to respect the time of all parents and teachers, if you feel you may need more time than the allotted time in the schedule, please ask your child's teacher for a separate appointment at a different time. Special class teachers will host "Open House" style conferences with each teacher available on one of the scheduled evenings:
- Tuesday, Oct. 13 - PE (Coach Cole)
- Wednesday, Oct. 14 - Music (Ms. Claypool)
- Thursday, Oct. 15 - Art/STEM (Mrs. Baas)
- After School Care will be available to all families free of charge during conferences. Please be sure to sign your children in and out with the aides on duty. Do not send them out on their own or call them to you without checking in with the aides. They do need to track attendance for safety reasons. Children should NOT be left unattended in hallways or other classrooms, as this may become disruptive to conferences in other areas. Thank you for your cooperation.
Have a restful and relaxing weekend. Enjoy the weather, and we will see you on Tuesday!
